All of the projects at Blufish are entered and cataloged in our project management software, ProWorkflow. This powerful, highly detailed software enables all of our teams to orchestrate, organize and prioritize office tasks big and small, establish project budgets, assign and collaborate with multiple team members, as well as track and manage each other’s time. As an added feature upon request, ProWorkflow can even enable clients to view specific projects from the outside.

At Blufish, we utilize a creative request form, or brief, that contains essential questions or needed information that can be shared with clients. Our briefs can consist of project-specific questions, budget inquiries, timeline confirmations, what the final output of the project might look like (i.e., print vs. digital), and most importantly, what’s the goal or objective.
We invite clients to provide those project details via email or phone. At that time we will request any required assets such as preferred copy or images, and from there we get the project into queue, using ProWorkflow.
After briefing our Creative team and assigning deadlines, we provide proofs for feedback to be discussed via follow-up email or phone.
Once you review the proof, we solicit relevant feedback and any revisions for the next round of creative and we’ll always ask the right questions for added clarification. Our Creative team will then execute your requested changes, and you’ll receive updated proofs. This collaborative process continues until your final approval is received, preferably in writing via email. While we’re in the design process, we also work with vendors to provide you quotes and variety of printing and construction options when available.

Our client, Zephyr, whose residential communities throughout Southern California have made quite an impression on the home-building industry, tasked us with branding their newest residential community located in Orange County.
With coastal residents typically resistant to a change in their landscape, and in an area that hasn’t seen new development in over 25 years, this community had to make a positive impact and exciting connection with its name, branding, and positioning correctly on digital platforms, while maintaining Zephyr’s position as a leader in the home-building industry.
To successfully sell this community, we knew it meant first selling the Dana Point lifestyle to buyers, while paying tribute to the surrounding area and legacy of this coastal classic. In developing the name for the community, we took influence from the site’s location and landed on ‘South Cove.’ For the logo, we developed a unique mark that symbolized the reoccurring union of the sun touching the water during sunset, incorporating the ‘S’ and ‘C’ from the name.
Within only a few months of releasing teaser messaging and imagery on both print & digital platforms, the South Cove interest list garnered 3,000 plus registrants with-in only a few months and has several hundred qualified buyers ready to purchase. South Cove is now seeing quick sales goals reached and the majority of its released units under contract or sold.
Taylor Morrison’s growing collection of 55-plus communities offer unmatched living experiences for those who aspire for more, post-retirement. As the great baby-boomer generation settles into their golden years in increasing numbers, things have become distinctly unique from generations past. More active, independent and diverse than their predecessors, baby-boomers are more discerning than ever. From the design of their homes, the restaurants they choose to dine at, where they travel, and the activities they desire to participate in, as brands continue to market to them, it’s more important than ever to get it right.
Bonterra, a pair of new Taylor Morrison 55-plus communities in the Houston area, approached Blufish with a simple need. After initial launch challenges failed to attract qualified, prospective residents, a consensus emerged that a new direction was needed for how they presented themselves to both the local community, and in particular, the growing—and lucrative—55-plus demo. The amenities and lifestyle were there, but the right packaging was not.
Through a detailed, in-depth discovery process, Blufish was able to map out a new branding strategy that not only better represented all that the Bonterra communities offered, but also a new look, feel, and tone that better encapsulated the diverse, active-minded 55-plus demographic.
After receiving a collection of strong branding packages by Blufish, the Bonterra team selected their new vibe and direction immediately. And the winning choice was unanimous. Communicating the optimistic on-the-go nature of this new wave of home buyers, baby-boomers aged 55 and over, using updated lifestyle photography, a bold new color story and an active brand voice, Bonterra received the strategic facelift it needed and more.

In an effort to increase traffic to new home communities, on-site sales centers, and model homes, the Charlotte division of Taylor Morrison was looking for creative solutions. Challenged with slow buyer turnout at one of its local new home developments, Blufish was challenged, in turn, to think outside of the box.
Blufish created Start From Scratch, an immersive, one-of-a-kind culinary experience featuring loyalty elements like special prizes and fun incentives. Centered around the activation of interactive collateral—in this instance a colorful scratcher card distributed to prospective homebuyers touring model homes—the promotion helped clearly articulate to buyers how, similar to from-scratch recipes, the Taylor Morrison home-buying experience could also be fully personalized with unique finishes and customization options.
Blufish delivered campaign materials designed with eye-catching food and kitchen imagery paired with bold brand colors throughout, as well as an optimized landing page, email data capture and marketing, flyers, and point-of-purchase displays. Originally created solely for Taylor Morrison’s Charlotte division, the overwhelming success of the campaign led to additional regions running the promotion, including Raleigh, Houston where Taylor Morrison was recognized with an industry PRISM Award, and Atlanta, where six new homes were sold as a result of the campaign.
